One thing we want to get right is inclusion of all disabilities and we hope in our small space we can accommodate this.
Wheelchair Access
The entrance to the cafe is wheelchair friendly straight off the street. We are happy to move chairs where needed to fully accommodate wheelchairs when needed.
Should you arrive on a mobility scooter this can be left safely outside.
Neurodivergent Customers
We are working hard to make sure that we can cater for all and with this in mind have various tools to make your visit more welcoming. We have just put into place “Plate dividers” for if food needs to be separated on a plate. If you are planning on joining us in the cafe, please feel free to contact us and we will do our upmost to cater for your needs. Also below we have our guide to what to expect when you come to the cafe and if you have a look at our “Meet the team” section you will see all the faces you may see in and around the cafe.
Toilets
We have one toilet on the shop floor which is wheelchair friendly. We also provide a baby changing facility in there as well.

Dementia
This is another area we thrive to maintain. The cafe never changes. We try to maintain the layout where possible and also everything in it. We have quite a few customers that come in with all different levels and stages and we try to cater to them and their carers the best we can. If a change needs to be made we tend to announce on social media or speak directly to the persons who come in frequently so they are aware.

What to expect when you arrive at the cafe
Here at South Shore Pitstop Cafe you will be greeted with a warm welcome. There are only 9 tables in the cafe, 3 tables seat 2 people and are near to the door all other tables seat 4.
The counter is directly in front of you as you enter the cafe.
Make yourself at home, take a seat, have a look at our menu. When you are ready to place your order please come to the counter.
(If you require someone to come to you we can do that too - just let us know)
We take both cash and card - whichever is easier for yourself.
Once you have ordered we aim to get your food to you within 10-15mins.
All our food is freshly prepared. If you have any special requirements please let one of the team know. Whether this is food preference or whether you require sauces not on the table at the time.
